Back in the 2004 time frame, it was decided to build 14 buildings, each with 4 condo units, just across from the main gate into Frenchman’s Reserve. It, named Chambord, was its own gated community on Hood Road, but they had memberships to all the Frenchman’s Reserve Country Club facilities across the street.
The builder was Porten Companies, led by Scott Porten. He decided to have two different floor plans.
The St. Tropez Model would have an entry foyer on the ground floor with garage, with a private elevator up to the living area on the second floor. The living area was about 2,900 sq. ft., 2 bedrooms with 2 and a half baths. Some St. Tropez owners converted the home to 3 bedrooms.
The Monaco Model was entirely on the first floor with a living area of 2,400 sq. ft., 2 bedrooms and 2 and a half baths.
The work done by Porten was a great success. To gather additional information, or to visit, call Marion Suro at 561-310-6120.
